Oh my slow-mo pc !

Baru ni ada tengok video cara2 nak melajukan pc kalau dah slow. Boleh tengok link ni CARA SETTING LAPTOP YANG LEMBAB/SLOW oleh Muhammad Irfan Muhammad. Credit to him. Yep itu cara yang … boleh katakan simple. Mungkin yang agak buta-it takut nak buat. Amek jalan mudah. Mintak kawan2 yang ada skills bantu untuk follow the instruction. Actually cara ni memang paling simple. Run msconfig then disable mana² program yang tak mau di-auto-run kan bila Windows start.

Ok nak ajo cara selain msconfig. Lebih “mudah dan selamat“. Kita guna regedit. Please be very extra careful sebab regedit ni kalau silap buat … boleh masuk bengkel untuk format. So sebelum korang hack Windows … bekap dulu. Cara bekap? Kena refer tutorial lain. Ok andaikan dah masuk Windows. Tekan button Windows+R nanti nampak kotak macam kat bawah tu …

Taip dlm tu regedit dan ENTER. Nanti computer tanya Do You Want to … bla bla bla .. tekan je YES. Akan keluar penampakan sebegini :

Kita akan edit kat 2 tempat jer … HKLM (Hot Key Local Machine) ngan HKCU (Hot Key Current User).

Expand/explode sampai jumpa folder RUN. Secara panjangnya macam ni
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]

Dalam tu ada list program yg automatik run bila dah masuk Windows. So delete jer yang rasa tak penting. Kalau was², boleh tanya aku or TechSupport. Ok setel kat sini .. seterusnya benda yg sama jugak tapi kat tempat lain

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]

Buat jugak benda yang sama. Delete yang tidak perlu. Ok setel. Efek tak nampak lagi sebab kena restart pc dulu …

Oppsss … Seblum restart, ada 1 lagi tempat yang nak kena delete jugak.

Kat Start->All Programs->Startup

Dalam tu kalau banyak sangat program pon boleh jadik lembab pc. Delete jugak yg macam tak penting. Nak delete semua pon tak per … OK rasanya boleh dah restart pc korang. Nanti mesti terasa agak laju berbanding seblum ni. Cara nak restart PC takkan nak kena citer pulak?

Tapi kalau masih slow jugak camner? Maknanya PC korang ni dah tahap patut masuk muzium atau mungkin ada problem dengan hardware. Ni dah isu lain.

Tapi kalau tiba2 tak leh masuk Windows nak buat camner? Boleh hantar utk repair/reinstall Windows atau format jer.

Tapi kalau saya guna Windows 64bit camner? Biasanya 64 bit duduk dekat sini :

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]

How to disable Java Update

Assalamualaikum,

Again. The JAVA strikes back to back and no back for good. Previously my post about to configure Java so that you could open the system (Advise). This time the same issue but I will tell you on how to disable the auto-update of Java.

It’s nature of people, they like to click Yes, Yes and Yes without reading and realize it is NOT necessary to update. Well … tak dapek nak nolong … botikngkek-tingkek (it means I can’t help on this. It is stacking and stacking)
FYI, Student Information System aka Advise can be accessed from MyIIUM Portal or the new link. It’s not KTNPORTAL anymore. It’s now ITDPORTAL. The rest is still the same.

If you open the web, you will see “For your information, these system required java 6 ONLY. Please kindly install java follow this user manual :-”

So in other words, if you computer 1. No Java, 2. Got Java7 or Java8 … it will not going to work (as I know). So please remove your latest Java. This will go to my another post … later. Assumed you had Java6 already on your PC.
You will get notification each time you switch-ON your pc and it’s quite annoying and you want to get rid of that pop-up message/notification. So this is what you have to do.
1. Run Regedit. How? Press Windows Button+R. (Press Win button but don’t release and then press R)

 

3. You will see Run Windows. Just type regedit and ENTER or click OK.

4. Browse to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] (This is from Windows 64bit)

Find SunJavaUpdateSched  and delete it. Then restart your pc. The update file is located in “C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Java\Java Update\jusched.exe”

5. Another method wichi I think much easier and simple. Again. Win+R but type msconfig. Go to Tab Control. Select/click Startup. You will see list of startup programs here. Just UNCHECK/UNTICK Java(TM) Platform SE Auto Updater and click OK and RESTART your pc.
